Recycling is just getting off the ground. Eco-consciousness is rising, but this clip from Russia Today says that what they need is more access to real information.
A Greenpeace spokesperson explains that the information about environmental damage, in this case the production of waste provided by the state services (similar to the EPA in the US), is incorrect by as much as 30%.
The overall outlook is positive for raising awareness and making changes.
"What we've seen throughout this year is an unrelenting interest in the healthy future of the natural environment of Russia." says the reporter.
