This short film is about Rushton Farm in Willistown Township, PA and The Pennsylvania Association For Sustainable Agriculture (PASA).
Together they have created the FarmFutures program, which connects farmers with land trusts and private land owners.
It is a very successful and contemporary example of different groups -- in this case conservationists, environmentalists and sustainable small farms, coordinating efforts to support the surrounding ecosystems.
As the Executive Director of PASA says, big mono crop farms are part of the past. The future is in small farms.
"All farmers in Pennsylvania live within a day's drive of half of the US population...We have plenty of market right here to make our farms viable."
