Farm Animals Are Capable of Compassion -- Are We?

Here's a heartwarming story about a pig, rescued from the floods in the Mid West in 2008.

There was no evacuation plan in place, and most of the animals living under the already horrific conditions on the factory farm perished in the waters.

This 700 lb hog was one of the lucky ones who survived. After being taken to the Farm Sanctuary he has been nicknamed The Doctor because of how compassionately he cares for the other survivors!
