There are 3 broad theories about evolution and food:
1.Humans are adapted to products of the agricultural revolution over the last 10,000 years.
2. Humans adapted to a Paleolithic diets with lots of lean meats.
3. Humans diet reflect an ancestral past which ate mostly leaves, flowers, fruits with bugs thrown in.
If we focus our attention on the here and now, we see that we have gone more away from fruits and vegetables. But the truth is we would die without them.
Studies show that diets based on plant based antioxidant rich foods "promote health and longevity".
