Bamboo: Extremely Renewable

Enjoy a few minutes in this delightful home made of bamboo. It's in an undisclosed location in the tropics.

Sustainable designer Nick Oosterveen feels good about using a renewable resource, bamboo.

"It's a grass. You cut it and it grows right back." he says.

This deluxe home is very aesthetically pleasing and cost effective.

There are some issues with bamboo homes, not addressed in this video, for ex. they may be very attractive to termites. But there are problems with conventional, wasteful toxic homes as well, so we say, let's keep building as green as possible and we'll figure it more and more solutions as we go!
