Charles Eisenstein, author of "Sacred Economy" speaks here about how the Occupy Movement dovetails with the shift in consciousness that we are experiencing about money, goods and services, community and each other.
He speaks about interdependence, connection and the unique gifts we contribute to the whole, and that our current system isn't working for the 1% either, at the deeper level. The point is not to extinguish them!
"Just like every species has an important gift to give to the ecosystem and the extinction of any species hurts everybody -- the same is true of each person. The truth is that we are here to give."
His point is that we do not get to experience this innate interdependence when we simply buy everything we need from anonymous sources.
"Its really hard to build community when the underlying knowledge is: We don't need each other."
Inspiring and very timely words of wisdom!
